Very strange event this evening. My German Shepherd was in the yard behind a cyclone fence. He started to bark, I knew by his bark he did not consider it a threat, yet he was on duty with a "hey I am here type bark" and his tail wagging.

I looked out the back window and he had his nose right against the fence barking. On the other side was a weenie little fawn also with its nose against the nose, each touching noses, just standing there, no Mom in sight. By the time I grabbed my camera, the little fawn was slowly walking into the woods.

Makes me wonder if the fawn got lost from its Mom or the Mom was dead and it was on its own. It sure had no fear of a German Shepherd much larger than it was.
