My memory is that the 1958-1960 W300 trucks have the same width backing plate to backing plate on both dual and single rear wheel trucks. The 1961-1968 W300 trucks have a different width backing plate to backing plate depending on if it if single or dual rear wheel and I think the cab chassis was another width as well.

You might have to swap the whole axle to get the tire track right, but even if you get the right rear axle setup I think the track is different by an inch or so between the front and rear.
