4BT Turbo question....upgrade

Just curious as to what some of you have done with regards to the stock turbo on your 4BT. What I have is way too laggy, max boost is 7lbs. The issue seems to be the turbine or hot side is too big at 18.5 cm.
Right now 6cm seems to work nice up to 2300 RPM from what I read and will clear up smoke problems. yes mine smokes black under load and I have not tweaked it yet.

HX30W Holset with a 6cm 04 9cm seems to be the most popular with the 6cm the winner. this turbo is on many of the newer 4cyl ISB cummins.
