Drove the truck to the inspection shop today. Of course the speedometer failed en route. The imechanic spent at least 2.5 hours going through the truck. It did not pass,
Speedometer, mud flaps,front drive shaft. They were thorough and went as far as having a second mechanic check the truck over. The owner said " thats all?" and the mechanic said " pretty good heh, I had Ralfph double check it too.
So the speedometer was a no brainer.
Mud flaps are a grey issue but the cops seem to be all over flaps and use it as an excuse to pull you over.
Front drive shaft? I wanted to take the truck in and get one made with a longer yoke and what not.
all in all that was pretty good.
Of course there are still issues to deal with. One being the oil temp guage.
But as inspections go that was pretty mild.
