40 years ago in Kalifornia, we had to get glass and lights inspected for a resurrection. They dropped that years ago. Now it's smog if newer than 74, and weight if a pickup. Glass and lights only if you get cited on the road, if then.
I bet you could draw a parallel of inspections to union states? Got to keep them union mechanics busy?
