Make it a dream come true is my advise. Learn how to work on them they are engineered simple and built to last. As far a your only daily driver goes I don't know your circumstances. Stock does have it's limitation depending on your proposed use so if you want to get on the freeway every day and try and keep up with the flow can be a big problem without expensive mods and deep pockets. Go for it!
