In my humble opinion you'd be much further ahead to take the 74 drop in the 360 you want for the 41 (same block should bolt right in), and find a 1 ton rear axle for the Dodge from a Dodge. I'm sure they were probably some form of Dana axle. Will be stronger, more likely have the same gears (I'm assuming the 74 is 4WD), or at least the option of having the right ratios, and I would think most of the mounting points will already be where they belong (ie should just bolt in). Which will not be anywhere close to the case for the Ford dually axle.

You can easily rebuild the front suspension while you're doing the surgery, and if you find the 1-ton rear it might be worth grabbing the 1-ton front and just swapping both.

That's probably the least amount of work and fabrication of the options you've proposed, not as cool as the 41, but WAY less work for a farm truck, and you won't have to try and piece together parts for 12 different vehicles.
