I have owned a lot of trucks with pto winches, most of which have had the cable controlled pto. The biggest problem is lack of use. I have thought about trying to build a simple linkage controlled by a lever similar to this one I made for my WDX to operate an aftermarket pto that was designed for cable control. It would obviously be more involved, due to the pto being located farther back on the transfer case, but you would never have to worry about the cable seizing up.
Does anyone know if linkage was ever used by he factory for the W300?
