brake bleedin follow-up

Brake bleedin' trouble...been thru two 32 oz. containers of fluid, and just don't have the pedal travel I need...will try and do a major adjustment tomorrow and see if they tighten up any. New wheel cylinders, and master cylinder installed, and just bleeding the lines. Shoes were in reasonable condition...OK for now...any feedback on this...thanks. JET
