Unless you have a good trailer and at least a 3/4 ton truck it would be better to follow Paul's advice and hire the job out. This is especially true if you have not hauled long distance before. There are a couple of significant passes in Idaho and Montana which could become very exciting if you are not experienced.

Remember you will be hauling a trailer both ways unless you rent a trailer (don't use a Uhaul) which drives the cost up. You need a trailer with good electric brakes not a surge brake system. Which means your tow vehicle will also need to be set up for electric brakes.

Give some good thought into this before you jump into it.
