Hmmmm. I think we are talking about two different mechanisms. The guides(rollers) on my truck are a fixed distance apart, not a scissor mechanism like on some vehicles.
I call them guides, because the piece that actually slides in the lifting track is a stud and doesn't roll. The anti-rattle washer may (I guess) roll on not roll depending on how it feels, but it doesn't support any weight.
