You mentioned that the 9.00R16 XZL's last a long time and are quieter at a slight cost in mud traction. How about the 9.00R16 XL's? Are they as good off-road as the 11.00R16 XL's, just a smaller version? Are they particularly noisy (I know this is subjective, but I don't have much else to go on.)

I am getting closer to making a decision about tires and wheels, so I'm trying to get all the info and impressions I can.
