I don't know which is harder, having it come without warning or slowly over time?
One of my labs was diagnosed with bone cancer in Jan., wasn't supposed to live past Feb. He is beating the odds and seems to be doing very well, but we know it will claim him soon. However, I do appreciate everyday I have with him during our long goodbye.
