If someone has already taken it apart at some time, they should have marked the side bearing retainers with punch marks. If not, and you didnt, you will need to figure out which one went where. If you bolt them back up without the bearings, you should be able to thread the adjuster nut in. If it wont thread in, try swapping sides. They were machined and threaded as a set and are not interchangable.
