Never had a Dodge pull a hill in 4th gear. Flat head or slant six. I run my 230s at 10 degree ahead. Take a vacuum gauge and try adjusting it till the vac reading falls off or idle changes for the worse. Take it out for a ride and see what happens. If she starts to ping set it back and keep trying. When the vac reading starts to drop bring it back to max reading. Good Luck. Bill.
