Charlie,
I agree with what you said except that Postwar Power Wagons could have either 7:50 x 16's or the larger 9:00 x 16s. The 7:50 equipped trucks came with 4:89 gears (part # 1192081) and wheel # 1189378. This wheel had a different offset from the wheel that came with the 9:00s (#1189381). The offsets are different and easily identified. The 7:50 wheel uses the smaller side ring (like the WC 1/2 tons although the wheel itself is different still) and the 9:00 wheel uses the larger side ring.
If this is not correct I am willing to learn something new.
