I was actually racing a YZ125 during "Buckwheat's" heyday. What is said on his site is true. They all knew how to race, talk trash, and not high-five each other later like everyone had just won.

We were entertained the night before a Trans-AMA race in Missouri at the high-rise hotel where all the riders and most of the spectators were staying. A lot of the pro racers came out onto their balconys and had a water fight with each other - with hotel waste baskets full of water, right over the factory parking lot pits where we were standing watching. Jim Weinert was the most entertaining.

I missed seeing Bob Hannah race 125cc here in Illinois as I was at the 500 U.S.G.P in Carlsbad, CA at the time. My Honda roots stem from Jim Pomeroy's first ever American win there in a Moto that day.

Power-Wagon content. The last time I ever rode my '81 CR250 was in 1984 when I carried it to my favorite track for a day of play riding. It rode there in the back of my '47 WDX. I never threw a leg over a bike again until somewhere around 1999 at a VPW Power Wagon Rally.
