I fabbed a 75" wide by 8' flatbed for a '63 W200. I welded (4) 4" channel iron to the frome every 2'. Then welded a 4" X 1/8" flatbar down each side. Welded (3) standard pockets on each side and 2 on rear. Welded 2 pieces of 4" channel on front for standards. Used rough cut white oak boards for flooring and rails. Installed with 1/4" stainless steel(preventing rust from damaging wood) carriage bolts with washers and nuts. Installed 4 coats of polyurethane. Boards were cut to fit even with frome.Looked good but never used for hauling.
