Measurements look good. I would have done the job to see for sure, but the shifter feels really gummy, and I can't get it into reverse. Other gears ok. Slot seems worn in the lever ball. Oh, that's a box with the level drain plug- 'after type'.

Dimensions to check:
end cap 3/4"
rail/inner bore, 11/16
depth to end of rail, in neutral- just under 5/8"
