All good suggestions.
I have noticed on my WDX that by moving the pump to carb line as close to the inner fender as far away from the manifold has cured most of my problem.
It will still vapor lock on "Extreme Hot" days at slow speed or shut off and restart after short stop, but doesn't completely quit, just stumbles a little.

I'm sure you have checked your manifold heat control and have it in summer position.
This is also one of the most causes.

Next, a lot of Carb. to manifold gaskets are too thin.
The original was a very thick gasket.

Next, and foremost, I believe the newer reformulated gasoline with ethanol is the biggest problem.
Some say by running the next higher octane gas helps but I can't seem to believe that.
I have done extensive reading on that, and there are many "Pro's and Con's,on the matter.
