B5.9 and B3.9 are the same on the flywheel end. All B5.9 flywheels, Flywheel housing adapters, trannies etc are interchangeable. I honestly am not sure if that statement includes the newer computer driven B3.9/B5.9.
I have no idea on the 8.3
