8.3 and 5.9 and 3.9 Cummins question

I'm going to look at a used 8.3 Cummins power unit that has high hours on it to maybe use it as a backup or use the clutch and radiator on one of my smaller engines. I am thinking from my memory that the back of the engines are all the same as far as the bolt patterns. Any experts here to help me out?
