I checked the voltage at the coil and it was 5.8 volts. Going by what you said, the Ign 1 is live. I disconnected it from the ballast resistor, which happans to be a dual ballast resister if it matters, and the engine did shut off. You said possibly the ignition relay is sticking. Auto parts store and Chilton manual do not have anything about an ignition relay. Did you mean a starter relay.
