Okay, the truck is in the muffler shop as I type. the two one bbl. set-up turned out very nice to look at. I am having a problem with the engine coming back down to idle. It acts like there is a vaccum leak, but as far as I can tell there is none. at idle it has a steady 10 inches of vaccum and keeps getting rougher and rougher until I have to blip the throttle to clean it out, but it's not flooding that I can tell, no smoke or heavy gas smell. what would the vaccum guage act like with a leak, steady or eradic? the little crank case valve is open straght thru, is it supposed to be open? or be valved? all vaccum ports on the intake are accounted for, and the ports on the carbs are plugged. the vent on the oil fill pipe has been routed to the intake also. as soon as I get it back I'll check with some sort of spray around the manifold and carbs. just fishing for ideas, maybe I've forgotten somthing?
