Poly vs LA

Was wondering if we could get some info on the pros cons of the 318 poly against the 318 LA.
I am about to do a rebuild on stoke 318 LA - 1967 Power wagon. I am wondering if I should go back and find a poly ...or of the LA is pretty much as good.

Any comparisons of these 2 engines...is greatly appreciated.

Also - interested in knowledge about carbs. I do want full power...but not at the expense of gas mileage. Thinking of a stock 2 bbl...but which one?
