I bought half a dozen 1 foot square pieces of various stiffnesses and thicknesses of industrial felt from McMaster-Carr a while back. I didn't know exactly what kind I needed so I got a variety. This is the stuff they use for long-life industrial applications, not the colored acrylic felt they sell at fabric stores. If you want to make a new seal, tell me how big a piece you need and I'll just send you a bit. I'm never going to use it all.
There's probably some sheet metal stamping that holds the felt. you can cut the inner hole on the tight side, because the felt isn't very picky about dimensions.
