It's a Model 77, Type 1. Earliest of the early ones. The seal that is defective is a felt seal, as opposed to the neoprene seals they use now. And you can see why they changed. The old felt seal only lasted a little over 50 years! Thanks for the idea. It sure won't hurt to look around a little. After all, it was through the internet that I was able to get information from Eric B. that led to the pto I needed for my W500, sitting in a wrecking yard in Pa. JH
