All I wanted was an M54 5-ton 6x6 so I could put fake armor on it and make a clone of the guntruck "Eve of Destruction".
She went ballistic when she saw me measuring the roof, since it would have to be cut back to clear the truck. Plus the driveway would have become a disposable, one time use kinda thing, and a new slab would have to be poured.
So instead I now have three M37's, two 1/2 ton WC's, a Jeep trailer and a pile of parts. This doesn't include all my hot rod parts and leftover engines from my racing days, including my 69 Cobra.
For my sins, I'm having to remodel the house and re-landscape the yard, just to keep the peace.
