This is a very typical case rampant in our society today. People not wanting to take responsibility for their actions. "don't blame me, it's not my fault" Yeah, right ! I love the lack of responsibility... I know somebody who I sold like new winch cable to, at 50 centss a foot, way cheap. I helped him spool it on his wm300 me doing te majority of the work, by unrolling the cable, standing over a tub of used 90 weight and soaking a cable with a rag, to oil the cable as we roll it on the spool. Me doing all the work for a friend, while he sits in the cab, operating the clutch. It is two years later, and I still have not got paid for the cable. When we spooled it on, we then forgot if it was 200 feet or 250 feet. So it was either
$ 100 or $ 125 total. He never paid me anything. I reminded him a couple of times. You would think, for cable at 50 cents a foot, way cheaper tahn anywhere else, he would just pay me the $ 125 and be done with it. On top of that, I offered him a PW cab, he came and grabbed it and when he got it home, he waffled on it for a year. He had every oppurtunity to look it over well before he dragged it home. I had that cab set up to be sold as part of a package with another WM300. I grabbed the cab back from him a month or so ago. Now I am stuck with a cab I don't need, because I offered it to a friend first, for the cost I had into it !
As far as the winch cable, I am about ready to call him and tell him I want my cable returned.... Two more exaamples of irresponsibility, by commiting on the buyers end and then not coming through. I hope he realizes he is loosing a good friend over this..
