Jerry I have seen the wooden pipe box's here too. Or the remains anyway.
Flooding is not near the problem it was in the 40, 50, &60's due to improved drainage,pumps,and levee's. However when you get 4/5" rain in a few hours like we did Sunday, all bets are off.
I sat up here on the Bluff's and watched the creek rise a flood the bottom ground.
A lot of people were hit.
That was the real reason My Dad bought all this property on the hill's in the sixties.
We were tire of wadding in water in the low ground!
