1. Do you get any change in engine speed when turning the air screw in or out, if not, the circuit is plugged.

2. If you have not replaced the needle/seat with a new one, and you have a metal needle, place the needle in the seat, press on it with a thumb while spinning it 360 degrees to form a new seat. I suspect this is probably the problem.

3. The float may not appear heavy, but can you hear fluid in it, when you shake it? If so, replace. You can sink the float in a pan of water and heat the water looking for bubbles escaping around soldered areas to determine if it has a leak. Heat the water to steam, but not to boiling the point.

4. You could have developed a fracture in the float bowl. I take the top of the carb off, start the engine and run it for 30 seconds, and then turn the engine off and watch for drainage. I’m not suggesting you do this.
