High pressure is for high loads. There are trade offs. High pressure= rough ride, less road resistance, better gas mileage. Lower pressure= smoother ride, less gas mileage, slighter better flotation's non soft ground. But 35psi sounds about right for these relatively light trucks and those heavy load range tires.
