Well, that's the thing....the reason for the scale is to educate people on the cost difference between a #1 condition vehicle & a #3 condition vehicle.
Yes, they are both beautiful & many can't even destinguish between the two but I bet if you had a #3 condition Power Wagon & you were to want it to be restored to perfect new #1 condition....I bet Steve Fowler would charge you $30,000+ at his restoration shop to acomplish such a task. It's not an inflated value....this is what they cost if you want one.
Nowhere on the scale does it say that we should all strive to have #1 condition vehicles.
I for one, will never own any vehicle that I don't drive.
It's just calling a spade a spade.
If you feel more comfortable....you can use decimal points & call it the infinite Power Wagon rating system!
So long as you still understand that Wilbur was at best a #4 & likely closer to a #5.
