When you disengage the clutch you are not loading this assembly of parts.

It is an interesting question. Thinking about it, that would seem to point to the front case bearing. I would like to know if it does it in neutral with the truck sitting still and the clutch engaged [pedal up].
A bad front bearing should make that sound then, too.
If the pilot bushing was bad enough to cause a lot of noise it should pop out of 4th [direct].
