Is that the small Warn winch? I have the 1700, bed mounted, with the same remote switch. Same ga. wires at about 14'. Adding 7 more feet to the 6ga. wire will result in minimal line loss. Just match that ga. and run to the battery per the winch installation instructions. Go to Depot or Lowes electrical department and get 6 ga. copper lugs to splice the wires and shrink tubing to insulate the splice, you should be fine. I also use the Warn quick disconnect plug so that the unit is not permanently connected to the battery for safety...and forgetfullness... in case the battery runs down because of a drain on the system.
A bigger issue was a strong enough attachment point to the truck bed.
