Speaking of JC Whitney, I found a catolog of theirs from 1971. It has nearly the exact same crap that is in their current catolog, just much lower prices, of course. I just thought it was neat that they are still selling more or less the same stuff. My dad and uncle are from Chicago and remember when it was called JC Warchawskis, or something like that.
