with a M37 radiator, the top tank seams do not seperate well, I too had to have a new one built! The shop I use has been in business for 40+ years and the original ownerw as there with his son to show me what happens to the seam when they seperate it! I was easily convinced why he said it would not be re-usable, and even if it would hold water, it would not last for long! The metal is very thin and brittle copper/brass compound.
