NP 205 transfer case shifter woes...

Hello.

I am FINALLY starting to get my 1990 Dodge W-350 4X4 around to where I want it to be, and I been running it around town some here-and-there for the time being. Well, seems like on the transfer case, when I go to shift it from 4Hi back into 2wd, I will drive a while and be going down the road, and it then will 'kick' back into 4 wheel drive. Is this just a simple adjustment here? The truck is a 1990 with a NP 435 Married to a 205. Also what is the possibility of going with a twin stick setup on this? I dont care if its pretty, I just want it functional. I thought I seen a aftermarket twin stick for the NP 205, but cant really recall. thanks for the help!
