Normal oil galley is drill all the way through the block

I wouldn't be so sure there is a block difference involved, since the normal oil galley is drilled full length and plugged at each end. The fluid drive system was quite common. I've seen too many car engines put into trucks to think there was a big difficulty...

Nuts, my 52 Motors Manual doesn't have the fluid drive system in it. Too old? I was hoping for a pic of oil flow system...
