I use the internet to encourage thinking, of my own as well as of lots of other readers. I also try to encourage folks to learn on their own by experimentation. Some background knowledge might enable a depth of understanding not possible by telling you what time it is.
You know the old saying,
" Light a fire for a man, you will keep him warm that night;
Light a man ON fire, keep him warm the rest of his life"
Oh, while my theoretical knowledge might help, looks like I was wrong on the gap. A smaller gap will impart less speed to the individual points, preventing float/bounce and so 2 sets will extend the dwell back to the norm for one wide set. My bad...
