I just received this in the mail today..it is a 1952 sales brochure for the MU2 winch...according to it, the MU2 was made exclusively for the Power Wagon! Even the price sheet shows that the MU-2 is "for WDX Dodge Power Wagon only! Includes frame extension members" the winch, parts, driveline, and pto complete had a list price of $226.50 in 1952!! winch only $121.00, PTO & drive kit $169.25!! Another interesting note is the winch capacity...listed at 6000lbs! (same ratings as the Braden MU3-10 and MU3-10F! The number deignation indicates the winch capacity..ie: MU3 is 6000 lbs, MU5 is 10,000lbs in some cases only!!! And it is noted as having a cable drum capacity of: 1050ft 1/4" rope, 675ft 5/16" rope, and 475ft 3/8" rope! There is no mention of 7/16" rope for this winch! and it states: "for best winch performance, DO NOT use more than one-half the cable drum capacity" at the bottom it states "for trucks other than the Dodge Power Wagon, refer to bulletins on Braden front end winch models MU3-10F and MU5-12F." How's that for information!!!
