i'm gonna swap these axles under my cj7 and will put a detroit locker in the front. keeping it full time would be fine if it were just gonna be a trail rig but i still want to be able to drive it on the street. part time hubs will allow that with my transfer case.

chad, i dont' expect it to turn on a dime, but why do u think changing to part time hubs cuts the turning radius?? i'm gonna drill and tap the passenger side knuckle for a high steer setup. basically, i think i'll have to change the outer axle stub, spindles, hub and rotor, and add the locking hubs. we've got a pull a part near the house so hopefully the parts won't be much....

i think i'm gonna have to go to a friends house and try a 3/4" impact...i can't get that nut loose. i've tried cheater bars and impacts, pb blaster and heat, but nothing will break it loose.

thanks for the replies and any other info would be appreciated.
