When these trucks were bought new people weren't afraid to drive them & when I get in one that's restored, I don't drive it any different than I drove Wilbur....ask Jonas about our ride into Hollister in my blue 46 WDX! Ha Ha!
I like them all but there's a line where they need to be restored & Wilbur was close to that line. At a certain point if the vehicle isn't properly looked after it won't be around for much longer for anyone to enjoy.
There are thousands & thousands of $500 trucks out there rotting into farmers fields with lots of character like the trucks Judd talks about...like that cement mixer but a Power Wagon is just too rare & too valuable to let be destroyed.
I say drive them & enjoy them. Restore them if you want but if you have a derlic one that's rusting away then you should be put in Power Wagon jail. :)
