Yep, I made a mountain out of a mole hill alright!
I messed with the thing for about an hour tonight before finally figuring out how to remove it.
I settled on drilling and tapping two holes for 1/4-20 bolts, and a slide hammer. Once the holes were drilled and tapped, and bolts installed, it took a total of six taps between the two bolts and it was out! Could've almost kicked myself for making the job harder than it was. Oh well, live and learn. It was my first one!
