The truck is a 57 K6W300 with the original flat head 230. I went out a few weeks back and tried to start but obviously it didnt. I replaced the condenser, tried a new rotor but put the original one back in after some advice, spark plugs, wires, distributor cap, and then some. I checked the TDC several times. Rewired it after it was wrongly wired from the faulty rotor. So i now have spark, it turnes over, but thats the extent of it. It used to back fire but it doesnt even do that now. Now that you know the specifacations of my problem and know what the engine does and doesnt do i hope that you will please tell me what i need to do and what my engine problem is. If a picture of my engine could help someone, that could be arrange. Am willing to do anything now.
