That doesn't seem to high to me, What does the book say?
When I had my 90 with a cummins, (I bought it new) The factory gauge always read low, when It was idleing it ran on the far left just before the low line of normal, when cold or when I was driving it would come up to the middle, The dealer at the time checked it whith a real gauge and it had excellent oil pressure. My new 04 seems to be the same way. it stays around 40 on the gauge off idle and on the low side maybe near 20 at idle when hot. when I go for my first oil change I will make them check it out.
