You can use any of the 4 fittings on the oil gallery (horizontal bulge along the side of the engine). It is the pressure side. It goes to the top of the filter. The return goes to the fitting directly above the oil pressure relief valve. When the engine has sufficient pressure the valve moves out allowing oil to return to the pan. When the oil pressure is low the return path is closed or bypassed so no oil is flowing through the filter. That why it's called a bypass filter system. Pull you oil relief valve, you will see the cut out.
