I advised my Service Writer of that early on, he said "Oh no, that can't be!" I said read it again, he made some calls and they were shocked that they had overlooked that, or at least didn't consult Cummins before they did it. I think that is why they dropped the 7/100,000 and now exclude the Cummins from the Lifetime warranty.
Just a few months ago I had them run my warranty by VIN and the computer will print out the date and mileage that each component warranty expires. It was reassuring to see the 2008 and 2009 dates, for transmission and engine, respectably, in writing!
