Message:   Thanks, George, that's very interesting! Though I was highly unhappy with the rebuild I must say in their defense that they gave a 100% refund, no hassles, so that should be considered also.

As for lubricant I can't remember clearly but when I posted these problems Terry posted the correct FSM specs, some recommending shirt fibre grease, and as I recall, 85W-90 for Swepty.

I have never used anything but rear axle lube on any vintage Dodge steering gearbox and never found one from the factory or otherwise with grease used instead.
