Well, I was very tempted to put the ATF in the case, but after crawling under the truck again and seeing that it's got wet-looking oil around every seal and gasket, even though it hasn't had any oil in it for years, I decided to forego that. I don't need to make the leaks any worse. So it's back to hear oil.
